EDUCATIONAL SUMMER SCIENCE CAMP What is Science?
WHO:Youth ages 7 to 15
WHAT: Introduction to Chemistry and Physics: Where are they in our daily lives? Biology and Geology: How they affect the world around us. Environmental Issues: Ecology of the Chesapeake Bay. Learn through experiments and activities.
WHERE: Field trips include: Millington Pool, Turners Creek, Easter Neck Island, Chester River, Washington College, and other Historical hot spots.
WHEN: June 16 to August 15; All Day (8 am to 5 pm)

FEE: $65 per week - open to all families; scholarships.
KENT FAMILY CENTER
Located in historic Chestertown the Kent Family Center is operated by SOS (Shared Opportunity Service, Inc.); a non profit agency with a history of responding to the community's needs. The Kent Family Center, one of 28 family support centers in Maryland,
is partially funded by Friends of the Family, Inc.
At the family center critical support services that help parents to be self-sufficient
are provided to local families.

The Kent Family Center provides sevices for families in Kent and Northern Queen Anne's Counties, and since our beginning in 1999, we have grown to serve approximately 800 families last year.
