New Partnerships and Programs

SOS has partnered with the Local Management Board for Children's and Family Services of Kent County to enhance recruitment and resource development through communication efforts to help three identified areas:  Foster or Adoptive Parents, Licensed Child Care, and Mentors.

SOS is collaborating with the Department of Social Services to help spread their important message:

Kids Can't Wait to Have a Family!  Become a Foster or Adoptive Parent!

Being a foster or adoptive parent is the highest form of public service. Foster and adoptive parents have the respect of our community and the reward of knowing they have helped stabilize a family in crisis. The children the Department of Social Services is responsible for have been neglected, abandoned, or are victims of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse.

You Have the Power to Change a Child's Life!

If you have questions or want to learn more about becoming a foster or adoptive parent you can email Kent County Department of Social Services  or tel. 410.810.7661. Thank you for your interest in helping children in need.
